EADEN. The essence of neroli; a blissful scent so loved by many for its freshness and joyful attitude. Extracts of orange blossoms have been used throughout history as far back as ancient Egypt where it was used it for spiritual, wellbeing, and health purposes. In the 10th century, the bitter orange tree arrived in Al-Andalus by the Arabs and became the emblematic tree of Andalusia, especially in Seville, where it is known as the Seville orange tree.

But it wasn’t until the 17th century that neroli gained fame as a fashionable scent. Princess Anne Maria de la Tremoille of Nerola, Italy, who was famous for her nickname “Princess of La Nerola” (hence the name Neroli) favored the scent of orange blossoms and was the first person who used the precious distilled essence to perfume everything; including her gloves, bathwater, clothes, and palace. Her high influence made neroli a fashionable perfume in the world.
